Post-dieta, among the treetops in Peru.

Bound by shared vision and the call to hold sacred space, our paths first crossed in a ceremonial container. Unbeknownst to us, a magical seed took root as divine orchestration tethered our union. As our relationship grew, we were blessed to facilitate alongside elders in Peru and Colombia, and within devoted medicine communities. Navigating contemporary healing spaces that comprise multi-faceted indigenous traditions is both exhilarating yet nuanced and delicate – at times, unimaginably challenging.

Despite it all, we find refuge in each other’s hearts as the conscious expansion of this global awakening reflects the same message inward – “trust the medicine.”

Born from this mantra, Mi Nidito emerged in early 2020 amongst tumultuous energetic shifts across our planet. The spirit of Mi Nidito is its own being, one that requires the same love and tenderness we owe to ourselves and those we care deeply about. Our capacity for love knows no boundary as new birdies flock to this communal container, filling our cups with friendship and family.

We invite you on this journey of co-creation and exploration into the great unknown. No matter how far you go, you may always find home in our little nest.

With love and light from our hearts to yours,

Amanda Ma, co-founder of Mi Nidito, is a ceremonialist, kambo practitioner, and weaver of textiles and connections. She is of Filipinx and Celtic ancestry. As a first generation Filipinx - American, she embodies a bridge between the jungles of her Motherland and South America.

Ama has had the privilege of assisting under elders and learning from indigenous communities in Colombia, Peru, and New Mexico. She is a Song Carrier of Quechua and Shipibo icaros; and is committed to providing safe and intentional spaces while honoring culturally sensitive practices within her work.

Amanda’s earlier career as a performance artist centered around ritual, symbolism of sacred objects, and womanhood. She has been hosted in residencies and exhibited her work across Europe and North America. This creative exploration of cathartic release informs her work in ritual craft, totem creation, and as a facilitator.
